What Is the Leapmotor B10?

So, what exactly are we looking at here? The Leapmotor B10 is a five-door, all-electric SUV running on Leapmotor’s latest LEAP3.5 platform. It’s meant to appeal to a fair mix of UK drivers—families, daily commuters, and folks who like their tech. You won’t have to faff around with loads of trim options, either—there’s just one spec for the UK, and it’s well-kitted out. That’s thanks to Leapmotor’s parent company Stellantis and a solid backing from 53 dealerships across the UK.

Damien Dally, who’s the Managing Director of Leapmotor UK, puts it like this: “Our mission from the outset was to be the best value for money EV brand in the UK by delivering the highest level of specification and the highest level of technology, all as standard… The car is extremely competitively priced and is jam-packed with high levels of technology.”

Leapmotor B10 UK Price and Availability

At £29,995 (with the grant included), the B10 slides comfortably under that £30k mark. That’s a good chunk cheaper than rivals like the BYD Atto 3, which starts at £37,705.

You’ll be able to put your name down for one in October 2025, with deliveries hitting the road just in time for December. That’s ideal if you’re eyeing up an EV for the new year. And it’s worth noting—this price doesn’t depend on any government plug-in grants, which have mostly disappeared now—so the price you see is pretty much the price you get.

Range, Battery and Charging

The version we’re getting in the UK comes with a 56.2 kWh battery, and it’s rated to do up to 269 miles on the WLTP cycle. There is a slightly bigger battery—67.1 kWh—available elsewhere, offering around 270 miles as well, but we’re not getting that one here at launch.

Still, performance is decent for the class. It’s got a 218 bhp motor under the bonnet, delivering 240 Nm of torque. That gets you from 0 to 62 mph in 8 seconds—which’ll do nicely whether you’re zipping through traffic or cruising the motorway.

As for charging, the B10 supports DC fast charging up to 168 kW. You can go from 30% to 80% in under 20 minutes, so quick top-ups won’t be a hassle if you’re on the move.

Interior and Technology

Step inside and the B10 gives off a surprising amount of posh for the price. You get plenty of space and a fair few bells and whistles you’d usually expect in more expensive cars. Here’s some of what’s included:

  • A big touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto built in
  • Mood lighting you can change to suit your vibe
  • Heated and cooled seats
  • Big panoramic glass roof
  • 360° camera system for easy parking
  • Decent sound system for your tunes

There’s good legroom for everyone, front and back, and the tech is future-proofed with over-the-air updates, so it should stay fresh over time.

Safety and Advanced Assistance

Safety-wise, there’s a high-strength steel structure keeping things solid and the goal is a five-star E-NCAP rating. You also get 17 ADAS (that’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features bundled in—stuff like auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist.

It’s also got multi-link suspension at the back, which should help smooth out the bumps whether you’re pottering around the city or heading out on longer drives.

Outlook for the UK Market

At under £30k, with good driving range and loads of kit thrown in, the Leapmotor B10 is lining up to be a strong option in the UK’s electric SUV pack. With more folks open to the idea of Chinese electric cars in the UK and the demand for affordable EVs growing, the B10 might just hit the sweet spot—for anyone wanting to make the switch without breaking the bank or giving up the good stuff.
