Skoda has taken its new all-electric Elroq SUV and given it the vRS treatment—think of it like swapping smart shoes for a pair of sporty trainers. The result? A practical family car that can also pin you back in your seat.
Performance: Quick, Quieter Thrills
The Elroq vRS is officially the fastest-accelerating Skoda you can buy. It uses two electric motors—one at the front and one at the back—for four-wheel drive and a hefty 335bhp. That’s enough to go from 0 to 62mph in just 5.4 seconds.
It’s not a sports car in the traditional sense—it tops out at 111mph—but it’s quick enough to feel exciting, especially when pulling away from traffic lights or overtaking on country roads.
There’s also a new suspension setup that sits slightly lower than the standard Elroq, plus sharper steering to give it a more agile feel. It won’t turn into a track car, but it should be a bit more fun on twisty roads.

Charging & Range
The Elroq vRS uses the same 84kWh battery as the regular Elroq 85, but because of the extra power, you’ll lose about 20 miles of range. That means a total range of around 340 miles—still very usable for most families.
It’s also Skoda’s fastest-charging model to date. Find a 185kW rapid charger, and you can go from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes—ideal for topping up during a service station coffee stop.

Looks: Sharper and More Stylish
The Elroq vRS stands out from the regular version thanks to black roof rails, darker trim pieces, and a set of sporty-looking alloy wheels—up to 21 inches if you fancy going big. There’s also a full-width reflector at the back and a slick front light animation when you unlock it.
It’s the first vRS to use Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design style, so it looks a bit more futuristic, but without going over the top.

Inside: Familiar, with a Sporty Twist
Step inside, and it’s mostly the same cabin as the standard Elroq, which means it’s practical, roomy, and tech-filled. You get a 13-inch central screen and a smaller 5-inch driver display, both of which now feature vRS-specific graphics.
The seats are trimmed in microsuede with lime green stitching, and there are a few sporty touches like imitation carbon fibre on the dash. It’s not flashy, but it feels a bit more special than the base model.
Standard kit on the vRS is generous too. Expect heated front seats, matrix LED headlights, an upgraded 12-speaker sound system, and a powered tailgate.

Final Thoughts: A Family EV That’s More Fun Than Most
The Skoda Elroq vRS isn’t just about going fast—it’s still practical, spacious and well-equipped. But it adds a welcome dose of fun to an otherwise sensible package. If you like the idea of an electric family car that doesn’t feel boring, this could be one to watch.
